The Monumental Marathon of Brasília held its 6th edition on November 22nd and 23rd, 2025. The race featured 4 distances: marathon, half marathon, 10 km, and 5 km, where more than 10 athletes from over 650 cities and 48 nationalities were present over those 2 days to participate in one of the largest road races in Brazil and South America.
The sporting event is part of the national road race calendar and has the Gold Permit from the Brazilian Athletics Confederation – CBAT, has a partnership with the Athletics Federation of the Federal District and is an associate member of AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Road Races), having obtained the International Endorsement from World Athletics in 2023, which allows athletes to participate in international races upon obtaining the official qualifying time.
Since May 2024, the Brasília Monumental Marathon has been part of the international circuit of Mega Finisher – South America Run Series, joining the Buenos Aires Marathon, Lima Marathon, Asunción International Marathon, and Montevideo Marathon.
This year, the event, which already has the dates of November 21st and 22nd, 2026 confirmed, hopes to host another Mega party with athletes from all over Brazil and other countries who will come to explore the federal capital by running.
